"We started to look for a villa in the Javea area in September 2011, initially independently contacting Estate Agents. We found Steve and Dawn’s details and decided to ask for their support. We were not sure of the specific area we wanted and consequently asked to see more than 100 villas over about 6 visits. Steve and Dawn managed to put together schedules to meet our availability and did all the juggling to make our life easy, also taxiing us throughout the viewings. They have always been very patient in trying to satisfy our demanding requirements. They were always ready with advice and checked out many details for us in advance, always responding swiftly. They arranged for a builder to visit a number of possible villas with us to get estimates of refurbishment costs. Buying a house abroad is always daunting and like most people we started searching for our ideal house in Javea by browsing on the Internet. Luckily for us we stumbled across the Javea Casas website and after our initial enquiry Dawn Nott was very quick to reply. We spoke by phone and we felt instantly reassured as Dawn explained the buying process in Spain. She has many years of experience in purchasing properties which fills you with confidence.
Once we had explained to Dawn our "wish list" she helped us to short list some properties from Javea Casas huge selection. Next came house viewings which Dawn coordinated so as we would waste no time during our short visits. We made the decision to buy a house in Spainto retire to back in 2007. We toyed with Costa Brava, and even looked at some properties around Nerja on the Costa Del Sol in 2010. On that visit we realised that dealing with multiple agents was frustrating and so we were delighted when we found Dawn's website offering one stop shopping.
Some friends of ours had already bought in Javea and we'd visited them so we knew the area relatively well. Over a long and cold winter in Moscowwe enjoyed looking at Dawn's website, which collects offers from Javea's top agents, and dreaming which house we could buy.
When we were ready for a visit Dawn was very helpful in looking at our short list of about 30 properties and giving a very honest opinion, from which we were able to rule some of them out.
During the visit we viewed over 30 properties in 3 days and did second visits to 3. We ended up buying the first property we saw on the first morning! Dawn was very open and honest with all the properties we saw, telling us the downside as well as benefits drawing on her vast experience of living and working in Javea. In addition Dawn guided us through the whole legal process, introduced us the Gestors who have been very good and helped us get our NIEs. Post purchase Dawn has been very helpful in recommending various tradesmen and service providers, again with no obligation.
I'm very happy that we found Dawn and she made the whole process of choosing and buying so much easier.

It is hard to believe that only 5 months ago I too was reading the Testimonials on the Javea Casas website, as you are today, and only beginning to contemplate the idea of buying a villa or apartment of our own. Due in great measure to the fantastic support of both Dawn and Julie we now have a lovely 3 bedroom apartment in Javea Porto and in three days time fly out for what we hope will be the first of many lovely holidays / long weekends / New Year celebrations etc.!
I cannot recommend Javea Casas highly enough. Dawn and Julie supported us every inch of the way; answering all our initial queries, arranging for us to view over 25 properties (which was such great fun!) and then proving invaluable when we came to the important bits, such as finding a reliable solicitor, obtaining NIE numbers and opening a Spanish bank account. They even saved us a considerable amount of money with some excellent advice on how to get the best rates when transferring money across to Spain. Our first trip to Javea was in early February, to meet a local agent who sadly showed us properties all above our budget, despite our being quite firm about that issue before our arrival. We found a house we liked, and put in a hesitant offer, but then we received at the ninth hour, a phone call from a friend of a friend, living in Javea, who said 'don’t do anything at all until you have met our friend Dawn Nott. She is an independent agent and will tell you the truth about all the properties you like, not just for a commission'. So we decided against the first house, returned to Javea and met the lovely Dawn, who from the first moment, proved to be the best person we could possibly have chosen to help us find a new home. Kindness and patience should be Dawn’s middle names. Having been told by the first agent that we would never find any property in our budget range, Dawn found scores of them and so we had a far more successful second trip, and were able to make a decision without any pressure from her, just good advice. Dawn’s strength is her vast knowledge of the area and the tradesmen who would be able to help us settle in, plus her generosity of spirit in giving us time and time again, all the information we needed about all manner of things. I have several friends who are contemplating a move to Javea and I will give them all Dawn’s contact details. In September 2018 we went to Javea for a weekend and we visited multiple houses with Dawn. From the very beginning it was very nice to work with Dawn. She is very organized and communicates in a nice way (quick in responding) and has a thorough knowledge of the area and the housing market.
We had done a lot of research on the areas and houses we wanted to visit. In that weekend we found our dream villa. Dawn assisted / advised us with all our requests / questions from the very early stage until the date we signed the official documents and got the keys of our villa. She helped us finding the right people in the area for all sorts of work and she has a great network of useful people, shops, etc.
We would highly recommend Dawn. She is a role model and has excellent communication & organization skills. The whole buying process has been really nice for us.
