Selling Javea Property

In the last ten years I have visited hundreds of properties in Javea, Moraira and surrounding areas, showing my clients property. Many agents, sellers and sales people believe that they can SELL a property. This is a mistake a lot of people make. Prospective purchasers do exactly that, purchase!

They buy Javea property because they want the dream, the area, the lovely view, the layout of the villa or apartment, the whole picture. Don’t show them the central heating boiler or the wall that use to be a doorway or the gold taps. It doesn’t matter! Keep your javea property clean and tidy, free of nasty odors and ask a sensible price.

Because we live in Javea, near Moraira, we have a head start on other property being sold or should I say purchased in other areas. Javea and Moraira are wonderful places to live and holiday. We found this to be true when we purchased here in 1987, and many hundreds will follow in our footsteps and in our dreams. Owning a Javea or Moraira property.

Tips for Visitors and Hosts

Rule One. Never, ever arrive between the hours of 20.00h and 08.00h. You may save 50 pounds on the flight, but your will be off to a bad start. Oh, and hire a car, don’t asked to be collected from the airport. Rule Two. At the first opportunity, go to the local supermarket and stock the fridge and larder of your hosts, with all that you will need for your stay, beers, wines, brandies, meat, bread, butter, your favourite snacks…everything! Rule Three. Your hosts are not on holiday, you and your family are. You could go off on a day trip with your family, on your own. Don’t just wake up, shower, eat breakfast then ask your hosts, ‘Where and what have you arranged for us to do today?’ Rule Four. Your hosts may not want to stay up until three in the morning drinking wine and then lie in until midday, your hosts live here all year, you and your family are on holiday. Rule Five. Take your hosts out at least twice in a week, for a special meal, no, not a 7 euro menu at the local Chinese. Remember cooking for you and your family every day is hard work. Rule Six. Never, never ask for a box to take home all the food and the drink that you didn’t use during your visit. This will guarantee, the end of the friendship or family relationship for at least 5 years, if not forever.

Tips for hosts. Encourage your guests to read these six rules, one week before their visit. If they don’t arrive or cancel their holiday…..you would have fallen out anyway!!

Who do you trust?

We offer a free service to find that bargain villa or apartment in this wonderful area called the Costa Blanca. Many of my clients become good friends, this is achieved through our good, open relationship in searching together, for the best properties available. Javea property is very much in demand. From 1987, our instinct to purchase here was very strong and it has proved to be a wise choice.

Prices have soared to levels that are difficult to reach, unless you have a deep pocket. The humble apartments, built in the seventies at a price of between 5.000 and 10.000 pounds are now seeing offers of 190.000 euros or 130.000 pounds. Villas built in the eighties with a price tag of 50.000 pounds are now selling for 350.000 euros or 240.000 pounds. A 3 bedroom apartment off plan in Javea will set you back 235.000 euros or 165.000 pounds. New villas are fetching prices of 500.000 – the skies the limit. If you are looking to purchase an apartment or a villa in Javea, Moraira or Denia, please contact us.

Javea Spain, Property, Villas

Javea, located in the northern part of the Costa Blanca. The area is also called the Marina Alta. It is a hidden jewel, as described by the many new visitors that discover Javea for the first time. Its clean beaches, charming narrow streets in the old town and the bars and restaurants in the port and arenal area, all add to the attraction of javea. Property prices are a lot less than in the Costa del Sol. Check our data base for the lastest up to date properties in the Javea, Moraira and Denia areas.

Solana's to Aleluya Bar

We set off with friends old and new to the Jalon Valley to visit Solana’s restaurant, on the first cloudy day since Christmas. The restaurant has been trading since we first arrived in Spain in 1987, so those older than us, can inform us of the exact opening date of Solana’s in Alcalali.

We have never been disappointed with the quality of the food, value for money and the ‘nothing is too much to ask’ politeness, of the Solana’s Restaurant, situated in the small village of Alcalali. It is always best to book in advance, when you want to sample the delights of this well established venue.

The food is superb value, well presented and tastes as close to home cooking as you can achieve in a restaurant. No surprises there, as Solana’s has been trading since we first arrived in Spain, 20 years ago. We have many favourite restaurants in Javea, Moraira and the Jalon Valley. Solana’s delivers the best of the best, every time we visit it.

After the three course meal of roast lamb, roast pork and rabbit stew, served with wines, coffee and after lunch liquors, we headed off to the famous bar in Jalon village called Casa Aleluya. Juan the owner sang, ‘Aleluya’ and ‘Oh my God’ as we entered the bar and ordered drinks. The place is filled with bottles of wine, honey and other goodies to purchase. Juan also performs his well practised trick of drinking wine from a glass decanter spout, pouring it into his mouth then slowly letting the wine flow travel up, then down his cheeks, in two channels and one down his nose. How Juan found he had this unique talent, you have to wonder.

Juan was later accompanied by his bare chested friend for a duo drinking act. Not to be out done, the girls had a go, sadly, not bare chested, each enjoying the ‘free’ flowing wine, and a kiss on the forehead from Juan. Next, Nick rose to the challenge and performed a first time duo, minus the bare chest and the kiss. This will surely change the way we all drink wine in the future.

I gave Juan’s drinking trick more thought, then realised that as a young lad, he must have missed his mouth on many drinking sessions, and must have decided that his forehead was a bigger taget than his mouth, and chose to drink this way in the future. No problems here for the girls then…..

As a finale, Nick went outside and poured water over his head, just to make us laugh? No, really, we all enjoyed another great afternoon out, with good company and good food.
