Summer Ends

Javea's population increases to over 100.000 during the months of July and August. The restaurants, bars and supermarkets are bursting, parking is an art, beaches are packed with walrus like figures and the heat and humidity make you feel like heading to the north pole for an ice cream flake. Apart from all that, back home in your neighbourhood the surrounding villas are full of screaming children and barking dogs. Having said all of that, its still a great place to live. The end of August thunderstorms bring lots of rain and washes away the heat, tourists and their cars. Back to the calm, cool Javea we know and love.
