La Boheme, Javea

Our party of six had a sample of tapas, gambas provincial and a few main courses that made us all want to hurry back.

I had not been to this restaurant for ages. Its the second restaurant down from the Parador hotel on the Arenal semi-circle. Great setting and wines to tickle the taste buds, we were all very impressed with the food.

The service could have been a little better and more attentive, but that was a small point and justified by the time and efforts of the chefs.

Once our host announced he was paying, the pink champers was ordered top wines and the gambas. The bill was still lower for two, dined in a London restaurant, last week annonced and paid again by our hosts. This retaurant in Javea had a wonderful presentation, marvellous flavours and the quality of the food was nothing short of fabulous.

With the sun bursting through the clouds, children playing on the sand and our appetites well rewarded, we headed off home to watch the sunset and the Antiques Road Show. Arhhhh yessss!
